Ladies & Gentlemen... Michelle has left the nation...

That's right. Since finals are over and the holidays are just around the corner, my sweetheart Michelle has returned to Italy, to spend some time with her mom and her beloved kitties. I miss her much (and look forward to her first "international" post to TMGE) but I know she's going to have a great time travelling all over Europe with her mom. A few days ago, my sister gave me a copy of her new Nickelback album called "All the Right Reasons". Though one of the tracks called "Photograph" is already special to Michelle and me, I heard another song that I think completely sums up our relationship. It's called "If Everyone Cared". Though posting an MP3 of the song would probably get me lynched, I'd like you to read the lyrics. The parts that touched me the most (and remind me most of my sweetheart) are bolded.

From underneath the trees, we watch the sky
Confusing stars for satellites
I never dreamed that you'd be mine
But here we are, we're here tonight

Singing Amen, I, I'm alive
Singing Amen, I, I'm alive

[Chorus:]
If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died

And I'm singing

Amen I, Amen I, I'm alive
Amen I, Amen I, Amen I, I'm alive

And in the air the fireflies
Our only light in paradise
We'll show the world they were wrong
And teach them all to sing along

Singing Amen, I, I'm alive
Singing Amen, I, I'm alive
(I'm alive)

[Chorus x2]

And as we lie beneath the stars
We realize how small we are
If they could love like you and me
Imagine what the world could be

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died
When nobody died...

[Chorus]

We'd see the day, we'd see the day
When nobody died
We'd see the day, we'd see the day
When nobody died
We'd see the day when nobody died

Honey,
I know you're probably exhausted from your trip, so get some rest and enjoy your holiday in Europe. Know that I look forward to spending at least a few days with you before classes resume, and that I think about you at least 59 seconds out of every minute of my day!

KISSES TO YA!

Greg
